Jiangsu’s First Intelligent Tax Service Robot Put Into Use at Guangling Government Service Hall in Yangzhou

“Hello! Welcome to the SAT Window at Guangling Government Service Center.”On the morning of June 12th, “Ruirui”, an intelligent tax service robot jointly developed by Jiangsu GEIT and Yangzhou Municipal State Taxation Bureau, made its debut at the center and immediately attracted great attention from taxpayers. This marked another important measure taken by Yangzhou SAT to implement the “Spring Action for Convenient Taxation” and further improve the tax service experience.

In response to the municipal government’s initiative to build Yangzhou into a model city for entrepreneurship and innovation among small and micro enterprises, Yangzhou SAT joined hands with Jiangsu GEIT to develop the intelligent tax robot under the “Internet +” concept. The solution was designed to address the lack of familiarity with tax policies, especially preferential tax policies, among many start-ups. It not only provides efficient services to entrepreneurs but also effectively eases the shortage of manpower during peak tax processing periods.

As the first tax service robot officially deployed in Jiangsu’s tax system, “Ruirui” integrates advanced intelligent technologies and stores a vast database covering most common state tax business introductions, operation guidelines, and key issues related to the replacement of business tax with VAT.It supports a full range of tax services including business consultation, queuing reservation, information inquiry, policy promotion, form pre-filling and invoice-related services. In addition, the robot can patrol the tax hall, actively detect and approach taxpayers, provide guidance and deliver on-site tax services.

Currently, “Ruirui” mainly serves as an intelligent tax guide and consultant at the government service hall. Supported by an internal knowledge base of more than 4,000 tax-related items, it can accurately recognize and answer common business and policy inquiries, and assist taxpayers in pre-filling certain forms, significantly shortening waiting and processing time.

The launch ceremony was attended by Mr. Zhang Handong, Deputy Director of Yangzhou SAT, and Mr. Sun, Director of the Citizen Service Center, who jointly unveiled the robot.The intelligent robot has also been experienced by visiting African tax officials and inspected by Wang Yong, State Councilor and Member of the Party Leadership Group of the State Council.
